Veterinary Biochemistry is a field of life sciences that studies various life phenomena in animals with physical and chemical methods. So, it forms the foundation of all other veterinary medicine as it focuses on studying molecular structure, function and metabolism of macromolecules (proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and nucleic acid) in animals and helps to understand other veterinary science at the molecular level. Furthermore, veterinary biochemistry provides the theoretical basis to be applied to veterinary preventive medicine and other clinical fields, it also helps in treating any diseases by knowing its effect on the body.
